Thoughts Unmuted: Things You Didn't Ask but I'll Say Anyway

Notion #4

I find joy in the little things. Does anyone else?

I was talking with a friend the other day, and we were laughing at all the things that bring us the most joy. And guess what? It wasn't money, big parties, or some major accomplishment; it was the tiny details that created a sense of curated calm and happiness that stood out the most.

So, after ruminating, here are my top 5 favorite things that bring me joy:

  1. Nailing that new project for the first time (rare, but it's a rush of joy when it happens!) ✂️
  2. Going for a long walk and getting lost in the latest true crime podcast episode. 🎧
  3. Watching a movie with my kids that I've already seen but they haven't, so I can see it for the first time through their eyes. 🎥
  4. Plans are getting cancelled. Okay, not every time, but sometimes the introvert in me is like..yes! I'm so glad I can stay in and do nothing. 🛌 💤
  5. Watching my Frenchie, Liberty, eat juicy watermelon off the rind. 🍉🐶
By the way, I came across a study that says watching your dog eat watermelon can temporarily boost serotonin levels in your brain by 91%. Who thinks of studying these things??

Here is a photo to give your brain some love! I caught it at the end. That girl devours her watermelon, and a good mopping is needed afterward. :)

What are some little moments that bring you the most joy? Reply and tell me!

..Yay! I got a Cricut! 🥳 ..wait… what exactly is Design Space? 😅 ..I have no idea where to start or what questions to ask. ..this seems… kind of overwhelming. ..I just want to make the pretty things already! ..what if I mess it up and waste my time? ..maybe I'm not smart enough to figure this out. If you nodded your head (even just a little), you’re not alone.I remember that mix of excitement and intimidation, too. Back when I got my first Cricut, I spent way too long chasing YouTube videos...

Hey Reader! What tutorials do you wish you could find but can't? I asked this question on a recent live workshop with you all and got a surprising answer. I wish I could create my own templates and SVG designs. Oh! 😲 I kind of felt myself shrink a little. I already teach that. In fact, I have a whole step-by-step course with thousands of creators who have made gorgeous designs and no longer have to pay for downloads or spend endless time searching online. The twinge of pain I felt was that I...

Reader, you know that moment when you open a cabinet, see total chaos inside, and immediately shut it again because nope, not today? Yeah… me too. I’ll be honest, some days the clutter wins. This year alone, I’ve juggled work, family, and life’s little “surprises” (the kind that break, cancel, or cost money) and still tried to keep our home looking halfway decent. It’s a lot. That’s why I had to hurry to my inbox and send you this message because today registration for the Get Organized HQ...
