Back-to-school makes you'll LOVE!

Hey Reader!

It's all fun and games until you realize it's August!

It's already back-to-school season, and Summer felt like it zipped by in a blink. My own kiddos are starting this week, and let me tell you—I’m definitely leaning on some creative joy to ease us back into routines.

Whether you're a parent/grandparent, teacher, or student yourself, I’ve rounded up my favorite back-to-school crafts, cut files, and freebies to help you personalize, organize, and smile through the season.

Thoughts Unmuted: The Weird World of My Search History

Notion #10

I’m just gonna come right out and say it—if anyone ever combed through my search history, they’d probably think I’m a wildly curious, slightly scatterbrained, bot-talking, flower-obsessed human. (And they’d be right.)

Here’s a peek at what’s been living rent-free in my Google searches this week:

  • “Reminiscent spelling” — because no matter how confident I feel, I still Google words like a nervous 6th grader before I hit publish. I just need to remember to combine the words' mini' and 'scent'...easy enough. Well, now I'll never forget it!
  • ChatGPT — yes, I ask it ALL the things. If my brain were a browser tab, ChatGPT would be my home page. Oddly enough, I use it more for ideation than search. It helps me refine my thoughts as I dictate them to a robot.
  • My own website URLs — why is it easier to Google my own blog posts than go to my site and search them? It's one less step, that's why...
  • Stock photos of California poppies, blue agave, and prickly pear cactus — because apparently, my crafting muse this month is a desert botanical garden...hint new drop coming soon.
  • Podcast rabbit holes — One minute I’m listening to a business podcast… the next, I’m in a deep dive into a true crime series, and giving a new meaning to crafting an alibi (I promise I’m fine).
  • How does 9 Perfect Strangers end? Because I am unable to wait to find out the answer until I have watched all the episodes...I may do this with books too...

I swear, my search bar is a digital diary of whatever my brain spirals into at 9:42 PM.

Now it’s your turn—what’s the funniest or most random thing sitting in your search history right now?

Hit reply and tell me. I need to know I’m not the only one Googling “oregano oil benefits” at midnight.

..Yay! I got a Cricut! 🥳 ..wait… what exactly is Design Space? 😅 ..I have no idea where to start or what questions to ask. ..this seems… kind of overwhelming. ..I just want to make the pretty things already! ..what if I mess it up and waste my time? ..maybe I'm not smart enough to figure this out. If you nodded your head (even just a little), you’re not alone.I remember that mix of excitement and intimidation, too. Back when I got my first Cricut, I spent way too long chasing YouTube videos...

Hey Reader! What tutorials do you wish you could find but can't? I asked this question on a recent live workshop with you all and got a surprising answer. I wish I could create my own templates and SVG designs. Oh! 😲 I kind of felt myself shrink a little. I already teach that. In fact, I have a whole step-by-step course with thousands of creators who have made gorgeous designs and no longer have to pay for downloads or spend endless time searching online. The twinge of pain I felt was that I...

Reader, you know that moment when you open a cabinet, see total chaos inside, and immediately shut it again because nope, not today? Yeah… me too. I’ll be honest, some days the clutter wins. This year alone, I’ve juggled work, family, and life’s little “surprises” (the kind that break, cancel, or cost money) and still tried to keep our home looking halfway decent. It’s a lot. That’s why I had to hurry to my inbox and send you this message because today registration for the Get Organized HQ...
