🍑 Don't Miss Your Sweet Surprise…

Have you ever wished you could whip up your own SVG designs from scratch, but not have to create every single element from the ground up?

🍓 You're in for a sweet and juicy treat! I’m launching a brand-new monthly video series called UDesign®️.

Once per month, I'll do a creative deep dive where we use the free Inkscape software to explore fun techniques and flex our design muscles.

Here’s what to expect:

  • Each video = a new SVG technique or a step-by-step to your own personal design creation
  • UDesign Kits = ready-made SVG graphics elements from me, to help you skip the blank-canvas overwhelm—think semi-homemade designs!

🍑 Just Peachy! A Sweet Surprise Inside (Free Udesign Sidekick Kit Thru Sunday)

Normally, these design kits will be reserved for our beloved A-Star Crafters, but because this is our debut of this series, everyone gets a chance to enjoy it for the first time.

I’m gifting you my first UDesign Kit - The Fruits of Summer for free—only through this weekend! (end 6/22)

This sweet kit includes cute fruit graphics (think peaches, berries, lemons) and pairs perfectly with our first project: a Just Peachy retro word art design 🍑 🍋 💖

In the first UDesign workshop, you'll learn how to:

  • Use text tools in Inkscape like a pro
  • Create that trendy offset + stacked text look
  • Customize fonts and colors for a bold, playful style
  • Use keyboard shortcuts and path tools for clean results

These lessons are designed for those who have some basic knowledge—think advanced beginners or beyond.

Total newbie?
Don’t worry! You can get up to speed on Inkscape basics in just a few days with my free 3-part workshop, so that you can join the creative play too!

I’m berry excited to see your fruity creations 🍓

And A-Star Crafters—next month’s UDesign is all about building adorable patriotic gnomes for July 4th! I'll have a brand new original kit to create it, so stay tuned!

All my best,
Abbi

Thoughts Unmuted: Things You Didn't Ask but I'll Say Anyway

Notion #6 - Missed the last one? Read it here!

This week, I found myself thinking a lot about contradictions—especially the silly little ways I contradict myself daily (anyone else say “I’m just going to test this cut” and then end up crafting for three hours? 🙃).

That spiral led me down a rabbit hole of oxymoronic idioms and curious contradictions. And since you are brilliantly witty, I thought we could ponder a few together this weekend while we craft...

🚗 Why is it called rush hour when traffic barely moves?

💬 Why is abbreviated such a long word?

🌳 Why do we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway?

👃 Why do noses run and feet smell?

🤔 Why do slim chance and fat chance mean the same thing?

🚢 Why do we ship things by car and cargo by ship?

⏳ Why is quicksand so slow?

✂️ Why is it called DIY if I end up watching 12 videos and asking my crafty bestie for help? 😅

Maybe I have the answers after all...

Because it's creative play for the mind and soul!

Plus, we have to find some way to keep the robots confused. 🤖 😵‍💫

Reader, you know that moment when you open a cabinet, see total chaos inside, and immediately shut it again because nope, not today? Yeah… me too. I’ll be honest, some days the clutter wins. This year alone, I’ve juggled work, family, and life’s little “surprises” (the kind that break, cancel, or cost money) and still tried to keep our home looking halfway decent. It’s a lot. That’s why I had to hurry to my inbox and send you this message because today registration for the Get Organized HQ...
